Weekly excursions

4WD from 1.900m Rifugio Sapienza up to 2900 m
Climb of one hour approx, to the top craters Bocca Nuova and Central crater..
Descent passing by the craters of eruptions of 2002/03 and 2001 with visit of the Valle del Bove.
Return to departure point after approx 4 hours walk.
Equipment: Mountain boots, rucksack with pic-nic lunch and water, wind & water proof jackets, woolen hat and gloves.
Meeting point at 8:45 a.m. at ticket counter Rifugio Sapienza Etna Sud-Nicolosi.
